November

I can't believe that I am two months behind. I had such high hopes of keeping up to date! :) As today is 11.11.11 I thought I better update everyone on our lives as well as express how thankful I am to all the many soldiers past and present for your sacrifice for our country.

My life is well...its happening :) Alex just won her semifinal game and is now heading to the quarterfinals on Saturday in GA! Good Luck Alex :) Kiara's little team will have there last game on Saturday as well and if they win, they will be #1 and therefore move up to the top division. I am heading back to Utah next week to work for the week and I am very excited...I just wish my girls were coming along, but they both have school so they will have to wait until Christmas.

My amazing family came out to see me and watch the girls play soccer....I love them so much and I am so very blessed for the love and support they give me everyday! Thank you Dean for driving them cross country for our little vacation I know it was hard, but I am very happy you did it! Three soccer games, Halloween, & Heather's birthday as well as us touring around Charleston South Carolina & North Carolina all in one short week. It was packed itinerary but we had alot of fun!!!

Next we have Thanksgiving and then before we know it, it is Christmas... 2011 is quickly coming to and end and with this year has brought so many changes in my life. Let's hope 2012 is not so eventful.

I will try and get my vacation pictures downloaded...we had alot of fun!

"the first's"

Time just seems to be flying by....
I am starting to freak out just a little as both of my girls are growing up so fast and I am not ready for them to be an adult when it comes to Alex's and in middle school for Kiara!

We had quite a busy wee!!!!! Rhett went to Pebble Beach and golfed with his buddy, Kiara and I went to the beach and had a wonderful day. Alex had her first college soccer game and 1st day of school. Kiara had her first day of school and before the week is over she will also have a soccer tournament. If you are exhausted reading it, you should try living it :)

We are very blessed to have such an amazing life and even though it is crazy we like it that way. My dear sweet family calls me, texts me or skype's me everyday and I miss them all so much!! I can't wait for them to visit in September!

That's all for now....we are expecting our 1st hurricane to hit this weekend so wish us luck!

North Carolina

WOW...what a couple weeks we have just had! We sold our house YEA, the girls and I drove cross-country, we dropped Alex off at college and we now live in North Carolina. We have had so much going on I haven't even had enough to wrap my head around all the changes that have taken place.

I guess let's start with Alex...She is a rock star and we are so very proud of her. She is playing soccer at Columbia and is so missed around our house. It is hard to believe my baby is a freshman in college. We sent her a care package today as she is missing her family and getting a little home sick. However, we are VERY proud of what she has accomplished!!! Go Alex :) http://www.gokoalas.com/landing/index (she made the athletic page)

Now Kiara, she made her old soccer team in NC and we were so excited for her. They are an amazing team and they have welcomed her back with open arms. She is playing great and learning even more! She starts 7th grade next week...where does the time go???

I have attached some photos of our new rental house per Heidi's request and I am getting very excited to see my family as they all come out for a visit in October to see the girls play and visit. We are very thankful for Skype so we can keep in touch with the family and can't wait for Heidi to get her camera so I can see my amazing nieces and nephews! Jaxon...it's on it's way!

Thanks all for now!

Big Rock Candy Mountain...Alex & Kiara

Holy Cow...I can't believe that July is upon us! Lets just say that time is flying and I am just hanging on by the skin of my teeth. Not sure if things are going to get done in time, but never the less, my life is about to change. In just over three weeks I will be living in NC, Alex is SC and leaving my life behind in Utah.

First off...July came in like a lion and is going to go out like one as well. We drove to Salina for the 4th and had a wonderful weekend. First off we spent the day with the Heath family at the lake and had a blast!!! What a darling little family. Next came the Street dance, the races, BBQ at my mom's, Parade and then the Rodeo....I LOVE SALINA 4TH OF JULY! It is the one place i get to see my family the Rosquist's and all our close friends. We were up at the crack of dawn to make it back to SLC to catch a plane to Cabo for our family vacation. We had alot of fun and really enjoy our week of just relaxing with no phone, pagers and or patients :) Our timing was just perfect, because as soon as we landed we made our way to Rocky Mountain Race way to see Landon and Mason race. I love those boys and hanging out with my family. This week Kiara and I are going to one more Impact tournament in Steamboat Colorado. The last time were were there Alex's team won the whole thing. Lets not leave out the last two weeks of the month...Rhett and I fly to Chicago for his oral boards on Tuesday and are really excited to squeeze in a Cubs game, while the girls spend a week with Aunt Heidi and my Mom. Then we have Alex's 18th Birthday followed by the week of fun and then.....we are off to the Carolina's. If this seems like alot, let me reassure you that it most certainly is!

OUR HOUSE IS STILL FOR SALE....FYI :)

The time has come!

Well it is official...Alex Graduated last week from Judge Memorial and is moving on up in the world! She will be attending Colombia College in South Carolina to follow her dream of playing soccer. She is such a darling young lady and we are very proud of her and all she has accomplished!

On another note...
Rhett took a job with Duke and we will be heading back south. Kiara and I are very nervous and really sad to leave our lives here in Utah, but excited to start anew in NC. On a positive note, Alex will only be 4 hours away vs across the country. My family is going to be the hardest part to leave behind, but I know they will be out to see me and go to the beach!

Our house is for sale if anyone is interested!!!

Landon's Graduation!

Wednesday, November 24, 2010

wow...it has been a few months!!!
So much happens in our lives everyday that I can't begin to tell you all that has been going on with the Hallows family. Here is a short recap. Alex finished her senior season of soccer with Judge. She loves soccer (the coach another story) She ended with 9 goals, 21 assist--honorable mention in the Desert News for All State and given an award for leading assists for the season!

She is now right in the thick of applying to college and trying to decide what she wants to be when she grow up!

Kiara is kiara....she does what she wants when she wants :) She has been very busy playing alot of soccer. She is still an avid reader and reads everyday...we still have to make her stop every night and go to bed!

Both the girls started violin (Thank you Penny) Alex loves it and practices everyday. She is getting so good and I love listening to her. She teaches herself songs and getting new books made her whole week! Kiara likes it, but she has informed us all that she would rather sing! Shocking I know!

Rhett and I are the same old...work, cook, clean, repeat. The only fun and exciting news is that we got a new puppy. He is so cute and lazy. The complete opposite of Duke. Luke or lazy Luke...has been a fun addition to our family!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, we are heading to Salina to spend some time with my family and then off to yet another soccer tournament in Vegas baby. We are very thankful to have such an awesome family and friends in our lives. For all of you who support us and love us unconditionally we are sending love your way! Our family means the world to me and for our close friends you are considered part of our family. I love my girls and husband and everyday look at them and know that they are the best thing I have ever done with my life!!!
