wow...it has been a few months!!!
So much happens in our lives everyday that I can't begin to tell you all that has been going on with the Hallows family. Here is a short recap. Alex finished her senior season of soccer with Judge. She loves soccer (the coach another story) She ended with 9 goals, 21 assist--honorable mention in the Desert News for All State and given an award for leading assists for the season!

She is now right in the thick of applying to college and trying to decide what she wants to be when she grow up!

Kiara is kiara....she does what she wants when she wants :) She has been very busy playing alot of soccer. She is still an avid reader and reads everyday...we still have to make her stop every night and go to bed!

Both the girls started violin (Thank you Penny) Alex loves it and practices everyday. She is getting so good and I love listening to her. She teaches herself songs and getting new books made her whole week! Kiara likes it, but she has informed us all that she would rather sing! Shocking I know!

Rhett and I are the same old...work, cook, clean, repeat. The only fun and exciting news is that we got a new puppy. He is so cute and lazy. The complete opposite of Duke. Luke or lazy Luke...has been a fun addition to our family!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, we are heading to Salina to spend some time with my family and then off to yet another soccer tournament in Vegas baby. We are very thankful to have such an awesome family and friends in our lives. For all of you who support us and love us unconditionally we are sending love your way! Our family means the world to me and for our close friends you are considered part of our family. I love my girls and husband and everyday look at them and know that they are the best thing I have ever done with my life!!!

Summer is over

Summer is really over…..I can’t believe it. Wow how time flies when you are so very busy. The girls are back in school and we all see much happier this year. Alex went back to Judge this year and seems so much happier. (Why or why did I ever agree to let her go to Highland) We love our Judge friends and family so much….what can I say, we are very excited she is back. Kiara started 6th grade and next year I will no longer have a child in elementary school. My babies are all grown up!! Soccer is in full swing, Alex is staring on the right outside-mid for Judge and if she can stay healthy it will be a blessing. Kiara is still playing with her Impact team and enjoying all the summer tournaments they have been playing in. One exciting side note is that Alex just finished her senior pictures and as soon as I get copies I will get them up….they are all beautiful. As for Rhett and I we just got back from Lake Powell with the Mickelsen clan and had a blast. It is nice to have a little color the end your summer season.

I will post more when I get all my pictures uploaded so for now, that is all I have.

Wow....the end of the school year, soccer tryouts, new coaching job, life, family ect…ect makes for a very busy time of the year. The girls last day of school is June 8th and I can't wait. It has been so crazy that I just want it over. The girls are full swing into soccer tryouts and looking forward to another awesome year of soccer but also looking forward to summer and hanging out at the pool and with friends. Alex is finishing out her junior year at Highland and then back to Judge for her senior year. She is very excited....HIGHLAND was not a very positive experience for us, so here’s to an awesome year next year. Kiara is the same old spit fire :) She loves life and will argue to the end with you if she feels she is correct. The new thing with her is BOYS...they come over all the time and seem to be hanging around like crazy. Rhett and I are not very happy about this to say the least.

On a VERY SAD note last Friday Dukie our little pug was put down after an accident. We love and miss him so much!!!

May

May.....what a busy month for us! We get to celebrate Kiara's birthday, Mother's day and I guess because we have to my birthday. Let's top that all with the end of Spring soccer, State Cup and the end of school! I love summer so I am already counting the days down. Last weekend for Nathan and Tana's anniversary we had the kids stay over and had so much fun! The boys loved hanging out with uncle Rhett and we had alot of fun hanging out with them. This weekend my whole family is coming up and I am so excited.....even HEIDI and the family is staying the whole weekend.....AMAZING!!! Here are just some fun pics of the past few weeks. Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's, there is not greater joy than being a mom. I love my girls and I am so very thankful to have them in my life!

What a busy month

So I am home and it is Sunday night at 8:30...I know this doesn't sound like much, but the past month has been out of control. With two out of state soccer tournaments, a trip back to North Carolina, a girls weekend and a hip course for Rhett that has not been the norm. What a wonderful and busy time of the year. We are all doing good and trying to keep up!!! Thanks to my mom and sister's for helping me out and keeping me sane!!! I will try and post more later, but until then here are a few pics!

New pics

I guess I am just going to be a once a month kind of blogger....so you just better get over it :) We have been busy, but what is new. Alex's elbow is better (yea) but she had a soccer tournament in Las Vegas last weekend and hurt her Achilles tendon and still didn't get to play. Kiara is about the same...just plucking away and doing awesome in everything. The Turners came out to visit and we had a fantastic time with them. All in all no change just living the dream.

Wow...it has been a long time!

So I know I have been a very bad blogger....time seems to have gotten away from me. So much has happened in the last few months so I will give you all the quick version. Lets start with Alex. First she broke her first bone....oh yes her elbow. She is doing very good and is just 10 degrees off of full extension.

Sorry for the poor quality :(

Next we have Kiara. She finished her fist basketball season and as time went on she improved so much. Here are a few shoots of her.

Next she has science project and lets not forget the very anticipated Valentines day boxes. This year she was not feeling well....fever and all, so Rhett and I for the most part had to do the whole project. (let's all hope this is our last one)

Rhett had received four front row tickets to see the Jazz take on the L.A. Lakers. The game was NOT GOOD, but it was still an awesome night. We had VIP tickets so we had dinner and half time snacks. The girls had fun...even Alex which is not always the case.

The last big event was we just had the Turner girls come and stay with us from NC. We had a great weekend and we already miss them. The weekend was filled with playing, skiing, laughter and fun!! Sorry Rhett you were the only boy.

A little behind :)

So Alex informed me today that I suck at blogging. I guess that compared to last year I am slacking a bit and I do admit that I have not been very good, but I like to say I am using all my spare time raising a 16 year old so that is why my blogging has declined :)

All is well in the Hallows world just plucking along in 2010. Alex is in full swing of indoor soccer season and playing very good. We really like her new coach and where she is going with her soccer team. Now, if we can get her to focus a little more (ok...alot more) on school we will be sitting pretty and she will have her car back. Kiara is Kiara, our little book worm, very involved with school, playing indoor soccer and half way through her first year of Jr. Jazz. Rhett is doing good and the only big new's he had a birthday and.....he got his new car! Oh yes a black Volvo XC90 and he is in love!! The girls love it and plus we are not part of the stupid shinny Volvo owners like the Cullen's.

We had a great time seeing the Realing family and we are not looking forward to spending a long weekend with the Turners in February.
