Playing around...

So....I have been playing around with my camera and have wanted to start being more serious, but because I HAVE SO MUCH FREE TIME on my hands it is pretty difficult.  Thanks to my beautiful models for bearing with me!  (Kiara was an fantastic...Alex not so much, she was done after the first few pictures.  However, we did manage to get a few good ones)

This was a rare day when Kiara didn't have a soccer game, Alex worked in the evening and it was a beautiful 75 degree Carolina blue sky day.  We are plugging right along...I look at my babies and I am can't believe that they are so big and old.  Where did the time go???  They are the highlight of my life and I am so very blessed to be called MOM to these two angles.  They may be giving me extra wrinkles and turning me grey way before I wanted, but I love them with all my heart.

Kiara's 13th Birthday

Easter 2012

I am a slacker...I can not believe it is August and I have not updated for 8 months :(  Sorry life is crazy as I am sure you can all relate.  We just got back from Spain, Kiara started 8th grade, Alex had surgery on one leg and getting ready to have it on her other, summer is over... I can go on and on.  However, we are all doing good and have almost made it through a NC summer, which is a plus.  I wish I had time to fill you in on everything that has been going on in our lives, but I am not blessed with that luxury.  Here are just a few snap shoots to keep you updated!

11 days until Christmas....:)

I truly do love this time of the year! Just a few highlights from the month thus far. Alex is home for winter break and it is so nice to have her back under my roof. I miss her so much. Kiara has been to Atlanta for a soccer tournament where she scored 2 of the 3 goals that her team scored all weekend. She played awesome and we were so proud of her. She has also made it to the next round of ODP (Olympic Development Program). She is still very busy with school, soccer, singing and violin. I just got back from New York and had a blast. It was my first time there and can't wait to go back again. As I have never been before I must say being there this time of the year is very magical.

WOW, tomorrow is December :) I love this time of year and although I wish I were closer to my family I still love decorating, shopping, baking and being thankful for everything I have and have been blessed with. My beautiful family is so amazing and I am so blessed to have them in my life. Thanks for all you do and continue to do for me...xoxo I am truly lucky!

Just a short update...
Alex is almost finish with her first semester of college and what a ride. The adjusment was huge for both of us, and her soccer team made it to the conference championship but come up just short. Congratulations Alex!!!
Kiara finished her fall season of soccer with a first place finish and one tournament championship. We head to Georgia this weekend for another tournament. She also made the first cut for ODP. She seems to be adjusting very well and we are very proud of her.
Rhett really likes his new job and things are picking up. Look for his picture in News week due out in December :)
I am heading to NYC for the first time next week and can't wait to go play, shop and have fun. Pics will follow.
